WHAT IS QIGONG?
An integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Qigong (chee-gong) is an exercise therapy and form of 'moving meditation' which increases internal energy circulation through physical movement to improve health, fitness and overall wellbeing.
Modern Qigong is a less traditional approach which combines acupressure, standing postures and slow flowing movements, combined with mindfulness practice and breath-work. It is easy to learn and the benefits can be felt immediately.

The health benefits of practicing Qigong are wide-ranging. It has been shown to improve energy levels, mental clarity, circulation, immune function, hormonal balance and emotional well-being. It is also great for relieving chronic pain and muscular tension. Above all, it is relaxing and fun!

These 60 minute QiGong classes combine gentle stretching, acupressure, slow flowing movements, mindfulness practice and breath-work. The focus will be on balancing the organs, emotions and energy channels of the Wood Element (Liver and Gallbladder) and Season of Spring.
